My girls in a NUTSHELL

There you have it!!!! Give them their Barbie "Bugs", their dollhouse and dolls, and mommy's boots and you won't see them for HOURS!!!! So, I guess for me.... these pictures are my sanity. My way to get anything done! My girls have such imaginations and they are the best of friends! Love it!!!!

And let's not forget to throw in an occasional tea party!!!! It's gone from pretend, to actual water and crackers, to full blown meals. But it works!!!!

(and yes, we "borrowed" a baby to see how it would work for our family! The girls LOVED him and Mya just kept asking me...."Mom, can we keep him. I love Brayden!" Guess we got our answers :))

Missed snow fall!

All that we have been hearing from back home is all the snow that they are getting. Although we don't really miss having to shovel the driveway, we do miss all the fun that comes with snow. Don came home from work tonight and said to us all, "Let's go on a walk!" My thought, "Are you crazy? It's cold and snowing!" Granted, I did say that out loud but it didn't change the outcome. We all got bundled up and went for a walk. About ten steps up the road, I wimped out and headed for home. But Don and the girls didn't want to come in. It's the Norwegian blood in them :) So, they proceeded to make a snow man. After eating most of the Milk Duds that were going to be the button eyes.... we came inside to warm ourselves with a nice cup of hot cocoa. Yeah... we love the snow!!! I especially enjoy watching it out my window while I'm curled up by the fireplace!!!!

Don pulling the girls in the sled around the block! They didn't want to come back home :) :)

Just working on the snowman! Yep..... here's the final product of our snowman! Don's in there.... he's just blending in :) Yeah!

SLEDDING!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, we decided this weekend that we needed to get away and do something fun. SO, we went up to Mt. Rose (well, don't know if we made it that far... but close enough) and went sledding. We packed up all our snow gear and left with the Belton's (minus Jodi cause she doesn't do the snow :)) and had a great time. Except it was REALLY REALLY cold and so we lasted about a half an hour. But it was alot of fun! I think that me and the girls only made it down the hill a handful of times before we were all crying that we had snow in places that it shouldn't be! But of course, we got some GREAT photo ops... so that's all that matters! It proves that we did it :) Yeah for the snow!!!

Celebrity Impersonation

I never knew that I would get the opportunity to be a "celebrity impersonator." But I did! For New Year's Eve, I got to dress up as Ilsa Lund from Casablanca. (Ingrid Bergman) I got hired by Vogue Entertainment to play Ilsa at the Moroccan New Years Eve party at the Altantis Casino downtown! At first, I had no idea what was going on. I got to go out shopping to put together costumes and all I had to do was show up at 4:30 ready to go! I had to do a "meet and greet" where I just talked to people while they waited to go into the ballroom. So, me and "Humprey Bogart" played out parts and greeted people. I pretty much got paid to walk around a ballroom, dressed up, and do NOTHING. Humprey (Rick) took over and threw out all of the famous lines from the movie. ("Here's looking at you kid." Or "We'll always have Paris!" Or "It looks like this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.") and I would just stand there and smile. I believe I was told by Humprey, "They hear me but see you!" So, I was just the eye candy for the night. A pretty easy night that was alot of fun! After my gig got over, Don and Dana came and met up with me. Jodi had also gotten a gig over at the Peppermill and we went over and met her and rang in the New Year with her. Overall, a very memorable New Year's Eve!

Yes, I got to wear this amazing evening gown. They figured that since there were going to be belly dancers there as well, it was only fair for me to get all dolled up myself!!!!
Yes, this is me with Jodi. She got to be a Princess! Isn't she gorgous? And then these are all the belly dancers that performed throughout the night as well. They were amazing and it was such a fun evening!!!
